LOCAL AMENITIES
The Parish Council is responsible for various amenities and activities within the parish, including: the upkeep of Hempton Common and the Memorial Hall; the duck pond area; the children’s play area in Hempton, allotments; street lighting; the upkeep of the village green & village sign; benches and seating; litter bins and dog bins; providing general maintenance around the villages.
Allotments
The allotments are situated off of the Raynham Road in Hempton. We have 29 Plots which vary in size. Annual rental starts at £12 per plot. If you are interested in an allotment please contact the Clerk.
Bowls Club
The Bowling Green is situated between the Memorial Hall and Church Rooms on Hempton Green. The Club welcomes new members to join.
Outdoor Play Area in Hempton
The original play equipment was installed in 1953. Additional equipment was added in 2016 and the original swings were refurbished at the same time. Whether it's enjoying a picnic, playing with the children or taking in the views and fresh air! We encourage everyone to enjoy the area.
Holy Trinity Church
The Holy Trinity, Hempton is a 19th century church located on The Green. As with many churches around here, Holy Trinity is in the devotional, Anglo-catholic tradition. Regular mass takes place on Wednesdays and Sundays. Father Paul Norwood is the Priest and Mike Hudson is the Church Warden. The Church Rooms, situated next to the Church, are available for private hire and coffee mornings and clubs are also run regularly. Memorial Hall
The Memorial Hall is situated on Hempton Green, with stunning views of the Common.
The hall is available for private hire, and many public clubs and classes run regularly.
